Meet Our Staff and Vestry
Our Minister: Mark Hood
Mark is passionate about the good news that Jesus Christ is for us, and that our best life is found in gladly obeying Him. Jesus shows Himself to us, walking off the pages of the Bible. He can be known, trusted and loved by anyone. He calls everyone to ‘follow me’.
Mark trained at Ridley Theological College in Melbourne and has spent the last couple of decades working to help younger and older people meet Jesus and live for Him.
Mark has been married to his wife Pip for 20+ years and they have three young adult children, and a little dog named Charlie. Prior to serving as minister in Christchurch, Melbourne and Geelong, he worked in manufacturing and on the family sheep and cattle farm. He’s a fan of rugby, cycling and cricket. When he’s not dabbling in his veggie garden, you might find him walking in the hills, biking on the trails, or gathering friends around a BBQ.
Our Vestry
Vestry is the leadership team elected by our church at the AGM which has responsibility for all matters of governance.
Our Vestry and Staff team 2024-25 includes: Martin Paltridge and Sarah Andrews (Churchwardens), Garry Carleton, Stephan Heep, Josif Tomkinson, Paul Simmons, Jaden Stokes, Mark Hood, Annie Nortje, and Pip Hood.
